4-alarm fire at Auburn storage facility arson, investigators say

AUBURN, Wash. — Valley Regional Fire investigators said a 4-alarm fire that destroyed or damaged numerous units at an Auburn storage facility was the result of arson.

The Wednesday fire started at about 6:30 p.m. at Auburn Way Self Storage, located at 4500 Auburn Way North.


A total of 80 units were affected by the blaze, and firefighters had to attack the fire in each unit separately.

Investigators believe the fire began in a single storage unit in building "E."

Investigators are following up leads in cooperation with Auburn police.
