RENTON, Wash. — Two people were shot at a Renton park Tuesday evening, police said.
Officers responded before 9:30 p.m. to a shooting in the north end of Gene Coulon Park.
When officers arrived, they found two people shot. The two were then taken to the hospital.
One person had life-threatening injuries, and the other had non-life-threatening injuries and was later released from the hospital, police said.
Authorities said the two were at the park for a vigil, which was being held for a friend who died over the weekend.
The suspects drove away in a green Toyota 4Runner, investigators said.
Police said the shooting did not appear to be random.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 and reference Case No. 20-6961.
Police are continuing their investigation.
