RENTON, Wash. — A two-alarm fire completely destroyed a home in Renton early Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to the fire in the 400 block of Maple Avenue Southwest just before 4 a.m., according to the Renton Regional Fire Authority.
“This house here has been a house known to have homeless people in it,” said Pat Pawlak with Puget Sound Fire, who serves as the Zone 3 PIO for RRFA. “The person reporting the fire saw … four or more individuals running away from the scene.”
The fire started on the west end of the house, then extended into the garage area and main living quarters.
