1 dead in shooting in unincorporated Renton, deputies say

A 24-year-old man died after being shot Thursday night in unincorporated Renton, deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies called to the 17600 block of Southeast Jones Road found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics treated the man at the scene and then took him to a hospital, deputies said. He died in Seattle.

Investigators did not say what led to the shooting or if a suspect was taken into custody.

The shooting is under investigation.
