MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. — One person is dead after a crash on northbound I-5 in Mount Lake Terrace.
The crash happened Saturday morning.
Washington State Patrol troopers said one driver was speeding and sideswiped another vehicle.
The first driver, 28, then hit a Jersey barrier and a concrete structure. His car caught fire, troopers said.
Troopers said the 28-year-old man was not wearing a seat belt.
People in the second car were not injured, troopers said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
