DALLAS — Former Rainier Beach high school star Jamal Crawford became the oldest player in NBA history to score 50 points in a game in the Phoenix Suns' loss Tuesday to the Dallas Mavericks. Click here to see highlights.

Crawford had 51 points on 18-30 shooting in 38 minutes. He was 7 for 14 from the three-point line.

Michael Jordan previously held the record when he scored 51 points at age 38 for the Washington Wizards in a victory over the Charlotte Hornets in 2001.

Crawford led Rainier Beach to a state title in 1998 and went on to play for the University of Michigan for one season. Crawford was selected eighth overall in the 2000 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers – who immediately traded him to the Chicago Bulls.

In 19 NBA Seasons, Crawford has played for the Bulls, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers, L.A. Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Suns.

Crawford has become a staple in Seattle sports by creating the Crawsover Pro-Am League – a competitive summer league featuring current and former professional, international, minor league and collegiate players at Seattle Pacific University. Click here to read more.
