FORKS, Wash. — According to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, a Forks man was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree child molestation and booked into Clallam County Correctional Facility.
Officials said an investigation was initiated by the Forks Police Department after they received information from Child Protective Services that the man molested a 6-year-old and 7-year-old child.
Trained forensic child interviewers with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office spoke with the children, and they disclosed that they had been sexually molested by the man.
Detectives and deputies worked with the Forks Police Department to obtain a search warrant for the man’s home.
According to officials, police retrieved evidence and arrested the man without incident.
