Fire breaks out at Capitol Hill apartment

Fire broke out at a home at 1013 Summit Avenue East in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Fire broke out at a hillside home in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, sending heavy smoke into the sky Thursday morning.
Seattle firefighters were called to the multistory house, which contains multiple units, in the 1000 block of Summit Avenue East at 9:45 a.m.
Firefighters said the fire was reported to have started in a basement unit’s kitchen.
 Video from Chopper 7 showed smoke pouring from an upstairs window.
One person was treated by medics at the scene.
A search revealed all other residents had been cleared from the home.
