SEATTLE — Marshawn Lynch is making an appearance in the Call of Duty, and as ESPN writes for their cover story, "the whole game is Beast Mode."
"This year's Call of Duty cover star isn't the black-helmeted soldier you'd expect—it's Seattle Seahawks star and gaming fanatic, Marshawn Lynch," the magazine said about it's upcoming story, that shows how a "gamer-turned-motion-capture performer put his stamp on the blockbuster franchise that has captured his imagination and will soon carry his likeness, giving him the distinction of being the first athlete to appear in a Call of Duty game."
Lynch is the first athlete to be featured in a Call of Duty video game, the News Tribune reports.
ESPN Magazine's Sam Alipour provides this exclusive account of the making of his character in the article that will appear in June 22's eSports issue.
"So strap on your helmets," Alipour writes. "Here comes virtual Beast Mode."
