Four bikes and many electronic items were stolen from a Salvation Army storage space in Port Angeles.

PORT ANGELES, Wash. — Police say the space -- rented at Peabody and Front Street -- was being used to store donated holiday gifts.

The gifts were going to go to children in need.

Officials estimate that the total monetary amount of gifts stolen falls between $1,000 and $2,000.

Police received a report of the theft on Sunday morning.

Officers told KIRO 7 they think the thieves may have returned more than once over the last two days.

The suspects were seen riding bicycles with backpacks on -- near the area of the theft.

If you want to help by donating items to replace those that were stolen -- the Salvation Army in Port Angeles is located at 206 South Peabody Street.

Police are investigating, and KIRO 7 will update this story with new information as it comes in.
