The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is reminding people that there is a statewide burn ban especially with the current wildfires.
To help reduce human-caused wildfires, the burn ban is effective from July 1 through Sept. 30, 2012.
According to the Department of Natural Resources, the ban includes all forestlands in Washington except federal lands, which have established their own restrictions.
Campgrounds may have additional restrictions in place, and campers should check before starting a fire.
