AUBURN, Wash. — A woman in her late 20s suffered critical injuries after she was struck by a car on an Auburn street Thursday evening.
Auburn police said a man in his 20s was driving south on J Street Southeast around 6 p.m. when he hit the woman and then struck a parked car.
Police said the woman had walked around to the street side of her parked car when she was hit.
The driver stopped and waited for police and medics to arrive.
Investigators are evaluating whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
The driver was arrested and charges are pending, police said.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries.
