BURIEN, Wash. — A man who police said tried to cash a bad check at a Burien bank fled the scene when he saw officers arrive.
The King County Sheriff’s Office said the man ran out of the bank at Southwest 148th Street and First Avenue South on Wednesday and jumped into a car being driven by an accomplice.
Deputies tried to pull over the vehicle, but it didn’t stop. It spun out and hit several vehicles on Highway 518.
The suspects then left the car and hid in nearby bushes, but were taken into custody minutes later.
Police said no one was hurt and the pursuit lasted less than a minute.
