CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It was a rough start for the Seattle Seahawks in their playoff game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Despite great plays in the second half, the Seahawks did not make a full comeback -- falling 31-24 to the Panthers.

Here are five takeaways from the game:
Panthers came for redemption in the playoff rematch after the Seahawks’ win last year.
Sunday’s game matched the team for the sixth time in four years and for the second straight season in the NFC divisional playoffs.
But this time it was a little different.
The top-seeded Panthers (15-1) won 11 straight, but the Seahawks face a Carolina team that's more confident and battled-tested.
And the Panthers made all the touchdowns in the first half.
The Panthers scored three touchdowns, two in the first quarter and two in the second. The Seahawks didn't the entire first half, leaving the score 31-0 at halftime.

Quarterback Russell Wilson passed to Wide receiver Jermaine Kearse for a 13-yard touchdown at the start of the third quarter.
Wide reciever Tyler Lockett scored the Seahawks second touchdown of the game. See his touchdown frame-by-frame here.
Jermaine Kearse caught another touchdown in the third quarter.
Wilson has thrown multiple interceptions.
Marshawn Lynch was back on the field.
The running back was listed as active on Sunday morning and played in the first half.
He had been out for weeks after an abdomen-related surgery.
