MARYSVILLE, Wash. — "It's just unbelievable. It's the time for giving - not stealing,” said Beckie French, whose surveillance camera captured the truck.
When it pulled into her neighbor's Marysville driveway around 11 in the morning last week, her camera showed the truck leaving.
She thinks the truck stopped to look at a kid’s bike on the front porch.
"They didn't take anything. I believe it's because my neighbors were watching,” said French.
When French put surveillance video of the suspicious truck on Facebook she found out she wasn't alone.
"It has been seen, like I said, for the last week, all over the place in Snohomish County,” said French.
"People are getting packages stolen from the front of their house,” said Lisa Warren, who lives in Marysville and helps run a community crime page on Facebook.
"Usually the most times is during the day, when susceptible people may be working,” said Warren.
We reached out to police in Marysville and Lake Stevens - but they didn't respond to multiple emails and phone calls.
Warren and her neighbors just want to get the word out so people know how to keep their packages safe.
"My hope is the person gets caught,” said Warren.
Shipping companies suggest you send things that require a signature for delivery, so packages are not left out in the sight of criminals.
