JENSEN BEACH, Fla. — A nurse shark latched onto a Florida man’s arm while he was swimming off the Atlantic coast over the weekend.
Martin County Fire Rescue said the man likely disturbed the shark, causing it to grab hold of his arm, WPEC reported.
WOW: The man appears to be cradling the shark in his arms like a baby, but it's really attached to his arm. https://t.co/OTXSAALcQO

Video shows the small shark’s teeth sunk into the man’s arm while he cradles it. Rescuers are seen trying to administer aid while a crowd forms around them.
The shark was released into the ocean after eventually letting go of the man’s arm.
Nurse sharks are nocturnal. They swim along the ocean bottom and can grow up to 8 feet in length and weigh more than 200 pounds.
