ATLANTA — The Alabama Crimson Tide topped the Georgia Bulldogs 41-24 on Saturday to win the 2021 SEC Championship Game in Atlanta.

According to WSB-TV and The Associated Press, quarterback Bryce Young, the title game’s MVP, led the No. 3 Tide to victory over the No. 1 Bulldogs, throwing for three touchdowns and running for another. His 421 yards passing and 461 yards total offense set SEC Championship records, the AP reported.

Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett threw for 340 yards and three touchdowns but also logged a pair of interceptions, the outlets reported. Meanwhile, teammate Brock Bowers made 10 catches for 139 yards, setting an SEC Championship record for yards and catches by a tight end, according to WSB-TV.
Both Alabama (12-1) and Georgia (12-1) likely will move on to the College Football Playoff, according to the AP. Playoff field announcements are slated for noon EST Sunday.
