Maryland shooting: 5 hurt, 1 critically, after shots fired in downtown Baltimore overnight

BALTIMORE — Five people are in the hospital after gunfire erupted in downtown Baltimore overnight, authorities said.

According to WBFF-TV and The Baltimore Sun, the incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Monday on North Eutaw Street. Baltimore police arrived to find five men, who range in age from 37 to 61, who had been shot, the news outlets reported.

Emergency crews rushed the men to a nearby hospital, where one of the men is listed in “critical but stable condition,” police said in a Facebook post early Monday. The other victims’ injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
