Tickets now on sale for Point Defiance Zoolights

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — Tickets are now on sale for the Point Defiance holiday Zoolights.

Zoolights is the largest holiday event in Pierce County and officially opens on Nov. 24.

Guests will have a chance to see their favorite animals lit up by the holiday lights with a special focus on the zoo’s baby muskox and twin polar bear sisters who arrived in the spring.

Almost every display is built in-house by the zoo’s electricians, carpenters, and maintenance staff.

“Guests will see the polar bears standing majestically atop ice in a dazzling turquoise blue sea, the 100-foot-wide giant Pacific octopus atop the old North Pacific Aquarium, and Mount Rainier rising tall,” said Porterfield.

There are also other opportunities for attendees like riding the vintage holiday carousel and feeding the goats.

Here is a list of ticket prices:

  • Mon to Thurs $14 general admission, $7 members
  • Fri to Sun $18 general admission, $9 members
  • 2 years old and younger are free

The event closes Jan. 1 and hours are 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. every night except for Dec. 24 and 25.
