Deputies with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in identifying a cyclist who they say damaged a fence.
The fence closes the Chehalis Western Trail near Talcott Ridge where the trail meets the train tracks.
According to deputies, the fence has been damaged four times since December.
Deputies said the man used a pair of bolt cutters he had stored in the area to damage the fence.
The man was riding a white Pinarello bicycle and was wearing Washington State University cycling gear, deputies said.
Anyone with information on the cyclist is asked to call the office’s non-emergency line at 360-704-2740 or email clarkc@co.thurston.wa.us.
