Pierce County detectives have arrested an 18-year-old man they suspect fatally shot another 18-year-old at a play field in Parkland in November.
On Nov. 24, 2019, deputies responded to a report of a man saying he had been shot near the Mayfair Playfield on 13th Avenue Court East.
The victim, who deputies later identified as Jacob Dawson, of Eatonville, was taken to the hospital but later died of his injuries.
Deputies said Dawson was shot following a fight near the play field.
On Thursday evening, deputies said they arrested the suspect believed to be responsible.
Following an extensive investigation by our detectives we have arrested an 18 yr old male suspect who is believed to be responsible for the murder of Jacob Dawson.
