TACOMA, Wash. — Crews worked to put out a fire at a Tacoma apartment building Monday morning.
Firefighters arrived at the complex in the 600 block of Tacoma Avenue South at around 5:50 a.m.
Flames could be seen coming from an apartment when crews arrived. The fire was quickly knocked down as firefighters searched the building.
No one was found inside.
Crews ventilated smoke from the building and checked to make sure the flames did not spread to any empty spaces.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
