PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — Pierce County Sheriff’s Department deputies are investigating after a man’s body was found inside a burning car.
Firefighters were called to an apartment complex in the 10400 block of Sales Road South near Lakewood around 4 a.m. Thursday.
After putting out the flames, firefighters found a man dead in the driver’s seat.
Deputies said the car had been parked and was not involved in a crash. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The victim’s identity and cause of death have not been released.
