SEATTLE — Seattle police have identified the officer who shot and killed a man armed with a knife.
The shooting was recorded by the officer's dash board camera.
Officer Shaun Hilton can be heard yelling "drop the knife" as the man ran toward him.
The Seattle Times reports that Hilton has been with the department for almost six years.
Police say the dead suspect, 27-year-old Samuel Smith, rammed a police cruiser and then fled earlier that morning.
