Police seeking Domino's Pizza stabber

EDMONDS, Wash. — A Domino's delivery driver was charging his electric car when he interrupted a car prowler -- who stabbed him twice, according to police.

"Our heart breaks for him, and his friends and his family and our co-workers," said Pat Farmer, who owns Domino's Pizza in Edmonds.

Farmer told KIRO 7 Monday the 40-year-old delivery driver is named Mike, who was on his way to the Nissan Leaf he parks out back when he was stabbed twice around 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

Edmonds police told KIRO 7 that Mike saw his car being broken into.

So police say he opened the door and pulled the suspect out.

The man stabbed Mike twice.

"We're all pulling for him, we're all visiting him in the hospital," said Farmer.

Nathan Schmidt works nearby.

"I mean, I feel like anybody would do the same thing if they saw the other car getting broken into, they'd try to stop it. It's messed up that he got stabbed," said Schmidt.

"It's kinda bad thinking about that, knowing that that could happen to any of us," added Schmidt.

"Nobody deserves that, nobody deserves to get stabbed. It's just not right," he added.

Police are searching for a black male in his 20s wearing dark clothing and a backpack.
