EVERETT, Wash. — Everett police say a stolen Land Rover led to 77 felony charges being filed against a man in connection with identity theft.
Police were called to the 3500 block of Lowell Snohomish River Road on Jan. 20 for a report of a stolen Land Rover.
Officers said they arrested the man inside the SUV for possession of a stolen vehicle. Investigators said the man denied owning any of the property inside the SUV.
After getting a search warrant, detectives said they found evidence the Land Rover had been used as a mobile identity theft lab and contained items from hundreds of potential victims.
After a comprehensive investigation, the suspect was charged with 77 additional felonies – 58 counts of identity theft, 15 counts of forgery, theft, possession of stolen mail, identity theft and unlawful possession of payment instruments.
