EDMONDS, Wash. - Edmonds police are investigating a fatal train collision near Haines Wharf Park after a 41 year-old woman was hit while crossing the train tracks Sunday

The train struck the woman at 7:10 p.m. and was confirmed dead on scene.

She was with her husband at the time. He was not injured.

The Amtrak train was not carrying passengers due to a landslide between Edmonds and Everett.

Investigators will be on the tracks for several hours.

Reporter Joanna Small is speaking with witnesses and will have a full report tonight on KIRO 7 at 11 p.m. or streaming live here.
