CONWAY, Wash. — At least four cars collided near Conway, Washington on Thursday afternoon.
One person died, and three others suffered minor injuries -- including the driver of the causing vehicle.
The collision occurred at NB 1-5 at mile-point 221.
All lanes were blocked.
The causing vehicle crossed over from the SB lanes -- and struck the victim vehicle head-on.

According to police, the causing driver was a 19-year-old from Mount Vernon.
A dog climbed down near her feet while she was driving.

The man who died was a 64-year-old from Issaquah.
At around 5:50 p.m.., the scene was cleared.
Transportation officials were working to re-open I-5 in the area.
Traffic along NB I-5 at SR 534 -- approaching Mt. Vernon -- was still backed up by about seven miles.
