The Mason County courthouse in Shelton and the surrounding area were evacuated for a bomb threat.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the incident about 10:30 a.m. Thursday. It did not say how the threat was received, but a bomb squad was called in.
Washington State Patrol bomb-detecting dogs were used to look for explosives.
The courthouse was cleared as safe shortly after 2 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
