SEATTLE — A woman is dead after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood Wednesday night.
Police said the crash happened the 400 block of Queen Anne Avenue North shortly before midnight.
Officers tried to help the woman until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived, but the 53-year-old, Kimberly Cook, died at the scene.
The intersection of Queen Anne Avenue North at Republican Street was closed while traffic collision detectives processed evidence.
On Monday, Seattle police said they had found the car involved in the incident, but have not found the driver.
