SEATTLE — The Spokane Street Bridge, also known as the low bridge to West Seattle, was briefly closed Wednesday morning due to an electrical issue, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
SDOT sent out a news release about the issue at 9:10 a.m. SDOT tweeted that the bridge was back open at 9:30 a.m.
Metro buses were rerouted down West Marginal Way Southwest during the closure.
The low bridge is closed to most vehicles weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Unauthorized vehicles will receive a $75 ticket for every trip across the bridge.
The low bridge is open to everyone weeknights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and weekends from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
The low bridge pedestrian path is open all days and all hours for people walking, rolling, using an electric foot scooter, or biking.
