MADRAS, Ore. — Three people were killed in a two-car collision near on U.S. Highway 97 near Madras.
Two of the victims were girls under the age of 18.
A car driven by 33-year-old Sarah Marie Steffler, of Moses Lake, Washington, crossed the centerline early Friday morning and crashed into a guardrail before colliding with a car driven by Miguel Galvan Sanchez of Manson, Washington.
Steffler and her young passenger died, as well as a girl in Sanchez's car.
The two young victims have not yet been identified.
Sanchez and another passenger were taken by helicopter to a Bend hospital.
Authorities say the crash happened around 2 a.m.
