This year, many Memorial Day events will be different because of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Oak Harbor and Coupeville: American Legion George Morris Post 129 and Oak Harbor Lions are sponsoring a pre-recorded Service of Remembrance, to be broadcast live at 10 a.m. on Facebook.
Mill Creek’s Memorial Day Ceremony will be held virtually on the city’s Facebook page Monday at 9 a.m. The city is also holding a “reverse parade” where people can drive by a display of military items and memorabilia at Main Street and 153rd St. SE from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, along with the Tahoma Veterans Cemetery and local cemeteries have a virtual Memorial Day ceremony on Facebook.
Renton-Pickering American Legion Post 79 is holding a virtual Memorial Day service planned for Facebook Live at noon.
Parade of Cars in Issaquah: Local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3436 will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at Lower Hillside Cemetery at 555 West Sunset Way. The ceremony will consist of driving through the cemetery, beginning at 10 a.m. to honor those veterans who have fallen.
Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood is hosting a virtual Memorial Day service to honor American heroes at 2 p.m.
In North Seattle, Evergreen Washelli Cemetery says there will be no formal events but it says it will be open for visits. There will also be flags available to place on graves.
