UPDATE: Police in Olympia arrested 31-year-old Chad Tipton late Friday night. Officials say they are still looking for 31-year-old Steve Roche of Spokane, Washington.

Two inmates from a Yakima County jail escaped on Tuesday.
Department of Corrections launched a manhunt for Steven Douglas Roche, 31, and Chad Everett Tipton, 31, after Yakima County Corrections officers found two inmates were missing during a head count.
A search found that a recreational yard door that led outside the facility was unsecured.
A staff member with keys to the facility may have left the door unsecured, according to a DOC news release. But it’s unknown if Roche and Tipton were assisted in their escape.
Roche was being held on charges for burglary and forgery. Tipton was held on charges of assault, driving while licenses is suspended, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
