Two-car injury crash blocks intersection in Seattle’s SoDo area

SEATTLE — Seattle police, firefighters and medics were at the scene of a serious crash in the SoDo neighborhood.

As of 10:45 a.m. Monday, the intersection of Sixth Avenue South and South Lander Street remained closed.

A tweet from the Seattle Fire Department said the crash involved two vehicles, including an overturned truck.

Firefighters had to free four people — a man, woman and two boys, ages 5 and 1 — from the truck. They were all taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The two occupants in the second vehicle were not hurt.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
