PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — A 15-year-old was arrested Wednesday after a fire at a middle school in Port Orchard, investigators said.
Deputies responded to an alarm activation early in the morning at Marcus Whitman Middle School.
When officers arrived, they found a fire that was set inside the school, police said.
The fire was put out and investigators said it caused substantial damage inside the school.
Investigators said they arrested a 15-year-old in connection with the fire. The teen will be booked for first-degree arson and second-degree burglary.
The investigation remains ongoing.
