SPD releases body camera video of officer-involved shooting in Puyallup

The Seattle Police Department released body camera video of an officer-involved shooting in Puyallup.

One man was injured at one of the multiple locations where an FBI Task Force was serving a warrant in connection with a long investigation involving drug dealing and illegal weapons possession.

In the video, you can hear law enforcement yell “gun” several times at a duplex in the 1000 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast.

Officers said they believed a man was armed, and multiple officers yelled “gun” before opening fire and hitting the man.

“The suspect came down the stairs, and an SPD officer opened fire, hitting the suspect in the pelvis. Two guns were recovered near the suspect,” Seattle Police Department Chief Adrian Diaz said.

The man was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The takedown of the massive drug operation led by the FBI resulted in 12 arrests in multiple areas.

The operation also resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of drugs and 120 guns.
