A man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman in downtown Seattle, police said.
The 42-year-old woman was at the corner of 3rd Avenue and James Street around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday when a man hit her in the face, causing her to fall and hit her face on the ground, police said.
Witnesses saw the suspect getting on board a bus. Officers responded and treated the woman and also found the suspect a few blocks away.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of felony assault.
The woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center to get treated for her injuries. The suspect was also taken to the hospital to get treated, but will be booked upon his release.
