Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park to undergo renovations next month

SEATTLE — Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood will undergo renovations next month.

City officials say crews will be improving the park’s playground. The aging play equipment and surfacing will be repaired and replaced.

The new equipment will meet national safety standards and ensure it’s accessible to children of all abilities.

If needed, access to the play area will be improved to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The play area of the park will be closed during construction, which is expected to begin next month.
