Job recruiting service Glassdoor released a list on Wednesday ranking the best United States cities for jobs.

Seattle landed at spot number three, according to Glassdoor's data.

“This list is compiled by ranking U.S. metros with the highest Glassdoor Job Score [based on 5-point scale with a “5” being very satisfied], determined by weighting four factors equally: how easy it is to get a job (hiring opportunity), how affordable it is to live there (cost of living), and how satisfied employees are working there (job satisfaction and work-life balance),” Glassdoor wrote in a news release about its list.

Seattle, WA – Glassdoor Job Score: 3.5

Earlier in May, another study by a financial group found that to live comfortably in Seattle, you need to earn $72,092 a year.

Here’s the breakdown with the 50-30-20 budgeting rule, meaning that 50 percent of income covers necessities, 30 percent is for discretionary items and 20 percent is saved.

  • Income needed: $72,092
  • 50 percent for necessities: $36,046
  • 30 percent for discretionary spending: $21,628
  • 20 percent for savings: $14,418

Glassdoor asked on Twitter to which city people would move for a job. The poll fluctuated Wednesday morning between Seattle and Austin, Texas.
