The state said the district must provide a year of after-school tutoring to students who were promised in-person instruction.

District officials also have to meet individually with the families of 11 students who the district declined to compensate for nursing care.

Officials from the state will also be attending those meetings, which could result in reimbursement.

The move comes after more than a year of ongoing complaints about delayed or denied services.

A spokesperson for the district told The Seattle Times it would prioritize its response to the requirements and corrective actions.

Officials are still going through cases to determine which students would qualify for the tutoring program.

Families will be notified by August.
