RENTON, Wash. — A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was pulled from Lake Washington.

Renton firefighters responded to reports of a possible drowning at a condominium building near Gene Coulon Park at about 11 a.m. Thursday.

When they arrived, the boy was on a dock.

According to witnesses, the boy wandered from a play area through a fence opening to the private dock at the condominiums.

A woman, walking by, from an adjacent condo project jumped in to pull out the child.
