RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a one-year contract with free agent Ezekiel Ansah, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The #Seahawks are signing former #Lions franchise tagged pass-rusher Ziggy Ansah to a 1-year deal, source said. A key, late addition in free agency.

The signing comes after the NFL’s May 7 compensatory deadline and therefore will not impact the Seahawks’ compensatory picks in 2020.
The Detroit Lions drafted Ansah with the fifth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Brigham Young University.
The 6-foot-5-inch, 270-pound defensive end has recorded 48 sacks in 80 career games – with 78 starts.
Ansah missed nine games last season due to a shoulder injury after the Lions placed the franchise tag on him.
The Seahawks had been searching for held along the defensive line after they traded Frank Clark to the Kansas City Chiefs in April.
Ansah will join a defensive line that includes: L.J. Collier, Rasheem Green, Branden Jackson, Cassius Marsh, Jacob Martin, Nate Orchard, Demarcus Christmas, Poona Ford, Quinton Jefferson, Nazair Jones, Jamie Meder, Bryan Mone, Jarran Reed and Jay-Tee Tiuli.
