Reminder: Don’t use dummies in the HOV lane

A driver was cited for using a dummy to drive in the HOV lane on Wednesday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The driver was stopped on northbound 405 near State Route 900, which is just north of Renton.

The “passenger” was a dummy in a gray raincoat wearing glasses.

The Washington State Patrol wanted to remind drivers that dummies do not count as passengers when driving in the HOV lanes.
