GIG HARBOR, Wash. — Police are looking for a man who was seen on surveillance video trying to break into a Gig Harbor store on Saturday.
The video showed a man trying using a pry bar to break in to the Gig Harbor Cenex store at 15824 66th Avenue Northwest at 1:30 a.m.
The man was able to break the padlocked hasp on the sliding wooden door, but when he got the door open, he realized there was a second set of locked doors.
He then fled.
The man is white, in his mid to late 20s, with dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants and a blue T-shirt. When he first approached the business, he was wearing a bandana over his face, but he later removed it.
Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County at 1-800-222-TIPS. Tipsters could receive a $1,000 reward.
