Police: Weapons seized after man threatened roommate with Samurai sword

SEATTLE — Seattle police officers seized guns, swords and knives and arrested a man who they say threatened his roommate with a Samurai sword Thursday.

Police were called to the 5400 block of 18 Avenue Southwest and spoke with the 61-year-old victim who told them his 62-year-old roommate began swinging a sword at him during an argument about rent.

After the man was arrested, officers obtained a search warrant for the home and found seven guns, three swords, two fixed blade knives and a bayonet.

The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence threats.
