Police: Man arrested in International District shooting found with guns, drugs

SEATTLE — A man with an assault warrant for his alleged involvement in a shooting in the Chinatown-International District last year was arrested in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood this week.

In partnership with the Washington State Department of Corrections and the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Task Force, Seattle Police worked to find a 38-year-old man accused of shooting a man and attacking a woman in the 200 block of South King Street last November, according to Seattle Police.

At about 10:30 a.m. on Monday, SPD detectives and ATF agents arrested the man in the 3300 block of First Avenue South.

Police said that during the arrest investigation, law enforcement found two handguns, about two pounds of marijuana, and about a half-pound of mushrooms in the man’s vehicles.

The man was arrested for his outstanding assault warrant. Police also requested that charges be filed against the suspect for unlawful possession of a firearm.

The suspect was booked into the into King County Jail.
