Pedestrian on I-5 killed in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. — A pedestrian on northbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma was killed when they were hit by a driver.

The crash happened near McKinley Avenue and was reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at 7:37 a.m. Friday.

The three right lanes and the ramp from I-705/SR 7 were blocked. All lanes reopened at around 10 a.m.

Troopers, a WSDOT crew, and members of the Tacoma Fire Department responded.
