RENTON, Wash. — The City of Renton says some southbound lanes of SR-169 are closed due to flooding.

The closure is primarily affecting the far-right lanes of the state route just east of SE 5th Street and Maple Valley Highway.

The city is warning that portions of SR-169 near the Cedar River could be unsafe for drivers due to soil erosion.

WSDOT will assess flooding on the roadway.

There is no information on when this portion of SR 169 will reopen.
