Pacific Northwest one of coldest areas on earth compared to average during March

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

If you thought it was cold during the month of March, you aren’t wrong.

According to global data from the last month, the Pacific Northwest -- as well as stretches of the Northern Plains -- was colder on average for the month of March than almost any other region in the world.

Temperatures will rise as we gain more daylight with each day. By April 11 our sunset times will be 10 minutes later than Tuesday, with sunsets well into the 8 p.m. hour by the end of the month.
